Dr. Joby Bell, organ professor at Appalachian State University, will present a lecture, "Half of Us are Descendants from Dupré". In addition to a historical survey of Dupré's influence, Dr. Bell will discuss the mechanics of an ultra-legato technique, and instruct on refining a quiet technique at the instrument. This lecture will address the instrument from an intellectual and practical perspective.
